Training new drivers and strengthening the road transport sector

As of 20 October 2025, the ministerial platform for requesting the ‘Bonus Patente Autotrasporto‘, an economic incentive promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT), is once again active.

The initiative aims to encourage the training and hiring of new professional drivers in the road transport sector, a strategic sector for the national economy but one that has long been in difficulty in finding qualified personnel.

Bonus Patente provides a contribution of up to €2,500 to partially cover the expenses necessary to obtain category C, CE, D, and DE licences and the relevant professional qualifications (CQC – Carta di Qualificazione del Conducente), which are indispensable for driving heavy goods or passenger transport vehicles.

An opportunity for the sector

At a time when the shortage of qualified drivers represents one of the main challenges for the logistics sector, this measure represents an important tool to encourage generational change and the entry of new professional figures.

Messaggerie del Garda welcomes the renewal of this initiative, which has a strategic value for the entire transport sector and for the sustainable development of the Italian logistics supply chain.
