Since September 2022 there has been a cyclical increase for both flows, but much more substantial for exports. This growth affects all groupings: energy, durable and non-durable goods, capital goods, and intermediate goods. Growth is still continuing, driven by rising commodity prices. Overall for the first 9 months of the year, the trade deficit with non-EU countries exceeds 28 billion, affected by a serious energy deficit.
