Since September 2022, there has been a cyclical increase with non-EU countries for both imports and exports, showing a stronger growth in exports, with an increase of +5.9 %. This growth affected all groupings: energy (+50.3%), durable (+24.4%) and non-durable (+33.3%) goods, capital goods (+18.5%) and intermediate goods (+27.9%).
Growth is still continuing, driven by rising commodity prices.
Overall for the first 9 months of the year, the trade deficit with non-EU countries exceeds 28 billion, affected by a serious energy deficit.
